George Marvin Lewis III joined his Lord in Heaven on July 13, 2023. Marvin was born in Dothan, Alabama on May 11, 1941. All who knew Marvin loved him and he loved them back with his whole heart. He loved Jesus, his family, prayer, music and Alabama football. Marvin was predeceased by his mother Jean Brock Lewis, his father George Marvin Lewis Jr, and his son Graham Brock Lewis. He is survived by his devoted wife Lenora Sylvest Lewis, his daughter Cynthia Lewis Hardin (James), his grandchildren Catherine Garrett, William Garrett, Hunter Hardin, Aaron Hardin, and Isabella Hardin, and his brother William Brock Lewis (Judy).
A memorial service will be held at Evangel Church, 3975 Vaughn Rd, Montgomery, Alabama on Sunday, July 16, 2023 at 2:30 pm with visitation prior to the service. The service will be officiated by Pastor Michael Rippy and Brian Taylor.
The family requests no flowers but would appreciate donations in Marvin’s honor to Mission Ministry at Evangel Church.
