

George was born in Manhattan, New York on August 31, 1935, to the proud parents of Basilios and Garoufallia Moulas who emigrated together from Greece in 1928.
George was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Beth Partalis; and his son, Phillip.
George is survived by his devoted wife of 61 years, Sandra, the love of his life, with whom he shared a lifetime of love and cherished memories. Throughout his final days, George would find the strength to tell his wife how beautiful she was and thank her for watching over him, a reflection of his enduring love and gratitude. George is also survived by his two daughters, Rosalind Taylor (Joe) and Nina Moulas; his two grandchildren he adored, Jessica Moulas (Panos) and Thomas Pappas; and his brother, Alex Moulas (Vicki).
George dedicated over 60 years to the printing industry as an Account Executive, with nearly 50 of those years at Skinner Printing. He took immense pride in his work and cherished the relationships he built with his wonderful clients. He was especially grateful to the Campbell family, owners of Skinner Printing, whose support and friendship made his career deeply fulfilling. George’s passion for his work kept him active in the industry until his retirement at the remarkable age of 88.
A lifelong sports enthusiast, George was an avid fan of Alabama football and Yankees baseball, spending countless hours cheering on his favorite teams. Growing up in New York, the Yankees held a special place in his heart, sparking dreams of a career in baseball. While he ultimately chose a different path that excited him, his love for the game remained a constant source of joy throughout his life.
George was also a skilled table tennis player, earning the title of champion in his youth. As a father, he passed on his passion for sports by teaching his children to play touch football and baseball in the backyard, creating cherished family memories and inspiring a lasting appreciation for staying active.
He was a devoted member of the Greek Orthodox Church and served on the local board of AHEPA for several years, giving back to his community. One of his most treasured accomplishments was being knighted in the Russian Orthodox Church, a testament to his faith, dedication and character.
George’s love, warmth and kindness left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. He had an incredible sense of humor and a knack for bringing laughter to any room he entered. He was deeply devoted to his family, always loving and caring for them with unmatched dedication. When faced with his recent health challenge, George remained steadfast and never complained, a true testament to his strength and positivity. George was deeply loved by his family and friends and will be profoundly missed.
The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at 11:00am, with visitation starting at 10:30am, at the Annunciation of the Theotokos Greek Orthodox Church, 1721 Mt. Meigs Road, Montgomery, AL.
The family asks that donations be made in his honor to Special Olympics, Annunciation of the Theotokos Greek Orthodox Church or the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation.
