

She was a faithful servant of her Lord Jesus Christ. As a member of First Presbyterian Church of Montgomery she lived out her faith every day as a devoted student of God's Word and a member of the choir, Lady's Circle, and Missions Team. In her retirement she strived to help the less fortunate by generously volunteering her time and resources.
Ms. Chandler graduated with honors from both Birmingham Southern University and Tulane University where she received her Master's of Science in Social Work. She was also a member of the Alpha Chi Omega Fraternity. In her career as a social worker, Ms. Chandler was known as a powerful advocate for neglected children and was highly respected by all who knew her.
She is survived by her two best friends Joetta and Ted Davis. They wish to thank the staff of John Knox Manor for the tireless love and care they provided Ms. Chandler over the past two years. They were a great source of comfort and happiness.
The funeral service will be held at Leak Memory Chapel on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. officiated by Reverend Reed DePace of First Presbyterian Church. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. Graveside service will be officiated by Reverend Jim Reece at Elmwood Cemetery in Birmingham at 2:00 P.M.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Missions Fund of First Presbyterian Church 9299 Vaughn Road Pike Road, Alabama 36064.
