Helen Scott Espenshade

Helen Scott Espenshade, 73 of Montgomery, AL completed her earthly life’s journey and entered into eternal rest on September 9, 2015. She passed away at her residence after an extended illness. She was preceded by her parents, Marion H. Scott, Sr., and Mildred C. Scott. She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Carl E. Espenshade, son, Scott R. Parrott, Sr. (Susan), brother, Marion H. Scott, Jr. (Elisabeth), three step sons, Carl Espenshade, Jr., Brian Espenshade, Bruce Espenshade, two grandchildren, and ten step grandchildren. Helen was a devoted wife and mother. She was kind, caring, and exhibited an outgoing personality. Many lives were touched by her cheerful disposition and enjoyment of life. She enjoyed planning trips in “Rocky” the family motor home, traveling, touring the country, and attending RV Rallies, meeting new friends, and remembering old friendships. She was also an avid Auburn fan (War Eagle and GO TIGERS). Helen’s life will be celebrated at Leak Memory Chapel Funeral Home, September 14, 2015 @ 2:00 P.M. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 1 P.M. until time of service. Interment will follow immediately after service at Greenwood Serenity Memorial Gardens. The family would like to thank all parties at Hospice of Montgomery (especially Jessie and Amy) for their loving care provided during Helen’s illness. Also, we wish to thank Earnestine, her home-sitter, for her kindness and care.
