Helen R. Nolan, 82, of Hope Hull, Alabama passed away on Sunday, May 27, 2012 in Montgomery, Alabama after a brief illness. She was born on Tuesday, March 11, 1930 in Opelika, Alabama to Andrew Brown Rice and his wife Mary Frances Hollis Rice. Helen was a long time resident of Hope Hull and a member of Hope Hull United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband: A. H. "Hamp" Nolan, a daughter: Elaine Taylor and her parents. Survivors include her sons: Chris (DeeDee) Nolan, of Montgomery; Robert (Ann) Nolan of Walker, La.; Mike Nolan, of Montgomery; Sisters: Tillie Mangrum of Tuskegee, Al.; Charlene McCarley, of Dallas, Texas; Brother: George Rice of Lake Martin and 10 grandchilldren. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 pm on Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at Leak Memory Chapel in Montgomery. Funeral services will be at 1 pm Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at Hope Hull United Methodist Church with Rev.
