Irene Helms Morgan

Irene Helms Morgan, 83, a resident of Montgomery, AL died Tuesday, February 8, 2011 in a local hospital. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 11, 2011 at 2:00 PM from Leak-Memory Chapel with Rev. Jim Free officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Survivors include one daughter, Norma Morgan Johnson (Richard); one son, Robin Eric Morgan; one sister, Ida Lou Helms; four grandchildren, Angela Johnson Locklier (Greg), Stephanie Johnson Coston (Jimmy), Jessie Marie Morgan, Sydney Taylor Morgan; four great-grandchildren, Brantly Coston, Hunter Coston, Dawson Locklier, Jenna Locklier and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ollie C. and Marie Helms; husband, Lockard (Lock) Hilliard Morgan, Jr. and a brother, Jessie Ray Helms. Active pallbearers will be Greg Locklier, Jimmy Coston, Trey Carroll, Brantly Coston, Steve Dunn and Richard Johnson. Honorary pallbearers will be retired J.C. Penney Employees. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Arrangements under the direction of Leak Memory Chapel, Montgomery, AL.
