Brooks, James Houston, 75, a resident of Hope Hull, AL passed away on December 20, 2013 at Jackson Hospital in Montgomery, AL. A memorial service will be held Monday, December 23rd, 5:00pm at Leak Memory Chapel. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sybil Christine Brooks. Survivors include one sister, Marilyn Norris of Wetumpka; two daughters, Charlene (Clarence ) Hooks of Gautier, Ms. and Carmen Traywick of Prattville, AL , one son, Jimmy (Danette) Brooks of Hope Hull, AL; seven grandchildren Michael (Tara) Hooks, Steven Hooks, Austin Hamilton, Brett Traywick, Jr., Chrissy Brooks, Judy Swanner, and Ryan Swanner, four great-grandchildren, Aiden Hooks, Gaven Farmer, Tristen Farmer and Dylan Farmer.
