Janie Lowery Thomas

Born July 28, 1932 in Coffee County, Ala., she was the daughter of George & Vallie Lowery. Janie was a homemaker who was always caring for her children and extended family. She loved participating in her children's lives and was involved in many activities with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She enjoyed having a house full of family laughing and spending time with each other.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Thomas and son, Elijah Jenkins. She is survived by four daughters: Susan Mejia and husband Rolando of Montgomery, Joann Thomas of Montgomery, Tammy Dison of Prattville and Crystal Wallace and husband David of Wetumpka; two sons: Buddy Thomas of Clairfield, Tenn. and Joe Thomas and wife Rhonda of Prattville; and 15 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be at Leak Memory Chapel, Montgomery, AL from 5:00-7:00 on Sunday, April 15th.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 16th with Rev.

Randall Newman of Beacon of Hope Church of God, Montgomery, Ala. and Rev.

Shawn Meeks of First Pentecostal Church, Prattville, Ala. officiating.

Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Montgomery, Ala.
