Jewel H. Medlock

Medlock, Jewel H., age 103, departed this life on June 7, 2012. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Guy Emory Medlock, daughters, Murta Smith and Clara Robbins and son, Bud Medlock. She is survived by her daughters, Eunice Bazzle and Margaret Philhower, daughter-in-law, Mary Medlock and grandchildren, Jerry Smith, Terry Smith, Debbie Edwards, Sammy Smith, Glen Smith, Kim Ellison, Danny Robbins, Lisa Turner, Donna Bryant, Keith Bazzle, Michael Bazzle, Vicki Russell, Susan Denham, Sandra Philhower and Steven Philhower, as well as 35 great-grandchildren and 10 great- great-grandchildren. She was a member of Eastern Hills Baptist Church, as well as an active participant in their daycare program. Family was always first in her life and she will be missed by many. Visitation will be held at Leak Memory Chapel on Sunday, June 10, 2012 from 5:00 until 7:00. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 11, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Larry Armstrong officiating. Burial will follow at Alabama Heritage Cemetery. Pallbearers will be, Terry Smith, Glen Smith, Keith Bazzle, Steven Philhower, Leigh Denham and Steve Russell. The family would like to thank Hospice of Montgomery and her caregivers for their loving care.
