Jewell A. Blake

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse Buris Atkinson and Esther Staggers Atkinson; her husband of 38 years, Morris William Blake; three brothers and four sisters. She is survived by two daughters, Linda Chandler (Taylor) and Judi Dykema (Jack). The joys of her life were her five granddaughters, Jennifer Byrd (David), DeAnne Watson (Jason), Stephanie Snyder (Bart), Amy Alford (Bryan) and Heather Owen; her six great grandsons Blake Hughes (Emily), Will Watson, Brock Snyder (Masey), Will Snyder, Jackson Owen, Tucker Byrd; five great granddaughters Anna Watson, Grace Watson, Mary Elizabeth Alford, Addison Owen, Karson Owen, one great great granddaughter Wrenley Hughes. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Jewell spent the majority of her working career in furniture sales in Montgomery and was a remarkable seamstress in her spare time.

Visitation will be at Leak Memory Chapel located at 945 Lincoln Road in Montgomery on Saturday, July 1, 2023, beginning at 1:00 p.m. with graveside service to follow at 2:00 p.m. at Greenwood Cemetery. Presiding over the graveside service will be grandsons-in-law Bart Snyder and Jason Watson.

Pallbearers will be her great grandsons and grandson-in-law, David Byrd. Honorary pallbearers will be Will Watson along with the Staff of Grand Boulevard Nursing Home.
