John Denzil Crawford

Crawford, John D., age 75, resident of Montgomery, Birmingham native passed away Tuesday, February 28, 2012. He is survived by his wife of 47 years Catherine D. Crawford and children, Elizabeth (Frank)Moody, Christopher(Judy)Crawford, David (Allison) Crawford and Ellen Crawford; grandchildren Frank, Emma and Luke Moody and Jack and William Crawford; brother Neil Crawford; sister Shirley (Ardis) Weems and many faithful friends. John was an editorial cartoonist for the Alabama Journal for over 25 years. He was an accomplished artist, a caring and compassionate man and devoted husband and grandfather of five. John was an active member of Frazer Memorial United Methodist Church where he touched many lives through various ministries and many friendships. Funeral services will be held at Frazer Memorial United Methodist Church (6000 Atlanta Highway, Montgomery, AL) on Friday, March 2, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. The visitation will be held in the parlor at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Frazer UMC. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery in Birmingham, AL at 3:00 p.m.
