John Hubert Hall

Hall, John Hubert, 84, a resident of Columbus, GA, formerly of Atlanta, GA, passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2020. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at 11:00AM at Leak Memory Chapel. Burial will take place in Greenwood Cemetery. John was born in Montgomery, AL to John and Gratie Hall. He attended Sidney Lanier High School and graduated from Williams School. After high school, he attended Auburn University-API and graduated from Massey Dhrau Business College. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served on the world’s first “super carrier”, the USS Forrestal. John then worked for Commercial Credit Equipment Corporation until his retirement. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Gaylord Bernard Hall. John is survived by his daughters, Kathryn Hall Jenkins (John) of Seale, AL, Emily Hall Waldman (Andrew) of Midland, GA; five grandchildren, Erin Jones Swetmon, Harrison Royster Jones (Brittni), Lilly Mariah Waldman, Lola Taylor Jenkins, Alexander Louis Waldman; three great grandchildren, Elijah James Gile, Mia McDade Swetmon, Hayes Edward Jones; and numerous lifelong friends.
