Dr. John Patterson III, 85, of Montgomery passed away on Saturday, August 11, 2012. Dr. Patterson worked as an Optometrist for many years in Montgomery and was preceded in death by his wife Catherine in 2005. He attended Our Lady Queen of Mercy Catholic Church. Survivors include his daughters: Barbara Patterson, of Troy; Catherine Ann Cook and husband William, of Wetumpka; Sons: Michael Patterson and wife Pamela of Montgomery; Thomas Patterson and wife Lynn of Birmingham; Grandchildren: Daniel, Lowrey and Shelby Patterson, Michael and Amanda Chase, Kristine and Michael Dobbs; Great Grandchildren: Parker and Hudson Chase. Visitation will be held at Leak Memory Chapel on Tuesday, August 14, 2012 from 5 to 7 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 am Wednesday, August 15 at Our Lady Queen of Mercy with Father Michael Sreboth officiating. Interment will follow at St. Margaret’s Cemetery.
