Mr. John Wayne Walker, 76, who resided in Montgomery, AL., went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at his residence. He is preceded in death by his parents: Josh William Walker and Evelyn T. Walker. He is survived by his lovely wife of fifty years: Nancy Hopkins Walker. He is also survived by his children: John "Bart" Walker (Krystyna) and Windi W. Dale (Corey) and grandchildren: Noelle Walker, Alex Walker, Noah Walker, Taylor Dale and Heather Dale. Mr. Walker worked for 25 years at Bear Lumber and was a member of Thorington Road Baptist Church. He loved to fish, play golf, garden and do woodwork. He also was a member of the Christian Bass Men. He loved Long Black Train by Josh Turner and classic country western music. A Celebration of Life Graveside Service will be held on Friday, September 29. 2017 at 10.00am in Greenwood Cemetery with military honors. Rev. Mike Trull and Mr. Eddie Newton will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Champion Forest Baptist Church Hurricane Relief Fund. Arrangements under the direction of White Chapel-Greenwood Funeral Home, Montgomery, AL.
