Joseph Calvin (J. C.) Lane was born on April 13, 1930 in New Orleans, LA.
He went to his eternal home to live with Jesus on August 10, 2016.
He resided in Montgomery, Alabama, all of his life.
He was preceded in death by his brother and best friend,
William Lawrence (Billy) Lane. Parents, Rev. Joe L. Lane
and Flora Marie Lane. His sisters, Faye Lane Hollon
and Carol Lane Bailey. Both of his beloved children,
Tina Dianne Nave and Joseph Mark Lane (Cindy Lane.)
He is survived by his wife of 62 wonderful years, Janice Barber Lane,
Grandchildren Leah Gotthelf and husband, Joe Gotthelf (his parents Dr Louis and
Penny Gotthelf,) Jared Lane, and Brandy Lane and
great grandson¬ Alex and great granddaughter Emma Lane Gotthelf.
One sister, Shirley Lane Welch (Rev. Paul H. Welch) of Pensacola, FL. And a host
of nieces and nephews.
J. C. was a graduate of The Pentecostal Bible Institute in Tupelo, MS.
He was a Licensed Minister with the United Pentecostal Church International.
He pastored churches in Vincent and Montgomery, AL.
He was a talented Electrician who worked up until the age of 70. Besides being a
devoted man of God, he loved his family and Alabama Football unconditionally.
Visitation will be held Sunday, August 14, 2016 from 12:00pm til 1:00pm at Leak Memory Chapel with
Funeral Service at 1:00pm at Leak Memory Chapel, burial to follow in Greenwood Serenity Cemetery, where
he will be buried beside his beloved daughter Tina Dianne Nave.
