J.T. Defee

J.T. Defee of Montgomery, AL passed away on June 13, 2016. He is predeceased by his parents, Jafe and Ila Defee. He is survived by his spouse, Betty P. Defee; his children; Linda Defee Jackson (Jack), Jan Defee Johnston (Johnny), and Mark K. Defee (Theresa); his grandchildren, Joel Jackson (Mandy), Tricia Heisler, Darrell Heisler (Susan), Lyndsey Grider (John), Lysley Duncan (Caleb), Justin Defee (Molly), Cindy Jackson (Richard, and Hunter Defee; his great grandchildren, Riley Duncan, Macie Lyn Duncan, Kaylie Defee, Chase Defee, Gregory Varner, Channing Leger, Adam Leger, Olivia Ready (Ryan), Drew Heisler, Jackson Heisler, Jake Heisler, Laurel Jackson, Ella Jackson, Audrey Jackson, Minnie Jackson, Joel Norman Jackson, Ann Collins Grider, Dixon Defee, Wyatt Sexton, Shyla Defee, Haylen Defee, Grady Grider; and great- great grandchildren, Kamdyn Varner and Parker Ready. Pallbearers will be grandsons. He served in WWII in the U.S. Army, is a retired Captain with the Montgomery Fire Department. At his death he was the oldest living retired Montgomery Fire Fighter. A visitation will be held on Friday, June 17, 2016 at Leak Memory Chapel from 1:00-2:00PM with a Celebration of life service at 2:00PM. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Cemetery in Snowdoun, AL.
