Judy is preceded in death by her parents Herbert F. and Muriel J. Thompson. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Perry Baker. Three sons: David (and Carol) Baker, Rob (and Mallory) Baker, and Mark (and Mitzi) Baker; ten grandchildren: Isabella, Emma, Davis, Gracie, Anna, Lily, Sydney, Olivia, Grant, and Bailey. One sister Marjorie (and Dave) Langeman, two brothers: Brian (and Faith) Thompson, Bill (and Linda) Thompson and sister-in-law Joan (and David) Westlake. She was beloved by many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and students.
She moved with her family to Newnan, Georgia in 1990. She served many communities as a registered nurse beginning in 1972 while specializing in neurosurgical and burn needs until she was invited to help develop, direct, and teach a medical education program in Newnan, GA. She taught high school and college classes in Georgia for 25 years.
Her passion and reward in life was following and serving Christ. She shared Christ’s love and the gospel message everywhere she went (including her last days with every care giver). She dedicated her life to serving others through mission trips, as an Elder’s wife, continuous Bible studies, sharing her homemade bread, pies and cookies, and many words of encouragement. She cherished and held a special love for Perry, her sons, daughters-in-law, and especially her grandchildren. Those who had the privilege of knowing her will forever be blessed.
