June Dunn Dillard

June Dunn DILLARD, 97, a resident of Montgomery, Al, died Wednesday September 22,2021. She was a lifelong member of the Gracepointe Church of Christ ( the former Highland Ave and Carriage Hills Congregations). A Charter member of the “The Sewing Class”, a group of the Church ladies who gathered together to learn sewing which resulted into a Christian fellowship and charitable group, making clothes and other sewing items for various organizations for over 65 years. She was charter member and officer of the Montgomery Piano Teachers Forum. Mrs Dillard taught private piano lessons in her home for over forty-eight yeas which gave her both enjoyment and wonderful memories of her former students. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Allen Dillard, her parents Clarence Rayburn and Laura Price Dunn, and her brother Joe Allen Dunn , Sr.

She is survived by her sons Timothy Lee Dillard (Cece), Bruce Lee Dillard (Rhonda) ; Grandchildren, Amy Dillard Kendrick, Geoffrey Dillard, Mark Dillard, Stephen Dillard ( Danielle), and Kate Dillard Moore (Thad); Great Grandchildren, Juliette Kendrick, Harper Dillard, Lauralee Moore and Slaton Moore, and numerous nephews and nieces.

Funeral arrangements for Mrs. Dillard will be Tuesday September 28, Family and Friends Visitation at 10AM followed by Celebration of Life Service to be held at Leak Memory Chapel at 11AM, private Graveside Services to follow at Montgomery Memorial Gardens.
