She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Reginald Garrick; parents, Vaughn T. and Bessie Browning Collier; brother, Charles T. Collier; sister, Mildred Booker. She was born June 22, 1923, in Wetumpka, Alabama. She attended public schools in Wetumpka, Monroeville, Lower Peach Tree and Pine Hill, Alabama.
She is survived by her children: Ernest Gerald Garrick (Sue) of Indian Springs, AL., and Kenneth Reginald Garrick (Lisa) of Houston, TX; grandchildren: Colleen Garrick Bisacca, Wendy Garrick Hesse, Erin Garrick Espinoza and Allison Garrick; great grandchildren: Emma Hesse, Ethan Hesse, Caroline Walker, Christopher Walker, Logan Espinoza and Desmond Garcia; sister, Betty Henderson; and brother, Tommy Collier. Mrs. Garrick was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Montgomery.
A graveside service for the immediate family will be held at Greenwood Cemetery in Montgomery at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, May 16, 2017. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial donations be made to either Aldersgate UMC or the Garrick Family Endowed Scholarship Fund at Huntingdon College, 1500 East Fairview Avenue, Montgomery, AL. 36106.
