Lawrence Waverly Loosier, age 81, of Montgomery, Alabama went to his heavenly home on Saturday, October 2, 2021. Larry was born August 22, 1940 to Perdue and Ellie Loosier. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Dolores Suehs. Mr. Loosier is survived by his wife; Connie Loosier; daughters Debbie (Nelson) Cook and Kim (Billy) O'Connell; grandchildren Alicia Cook, Alaura (Christopher) Kratzer and Dennie O'Connell Taylor; great grandchildren Beckett, Robbie, and Nora Kratzer, as well as Ethan Taylor; sisters Paddy Duncklee and Mary Barton Lai.
Larry served 20 yrs. with the Air Force and a second 20 yrs. with the federal government. An avid golfer and softball player, he was also a faithful member of Frazer Methodist Church and a part of their "Roll Up Your Sleeves" ministry where he helped build ramps for the elderly and handicapped.
A visitation for Larry will be held Monday, October 11, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Frazer United Methodist Church, 6000 Atlanta Highway, Montgomery, Alabama 36117, followed by a chapel service at 11:00 AM. Rev. Neil Epler and Rev. John Ed Mathison will be officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requested that his memory be honored by memorials to St Jude Children's Research Hospital.
