

BEASLEY, LETTIE STEINECK, 77, of Wetumpka, AL passed away Monday, September 2, 2013, after an extended illness, in her home surrounded by her loving family. Lettie Lou Steineck was born January 15, 1936 in Canton, Ohio to the late Harry Arthur Steineck and Mildred Hose Steineck. Lettie graduated from the Altman Hospital School of Nursing in 1956 and went on to work as a Registered Nurse for over 50 years. She was a 1st Lt. in the Ohio Air National Guard/Air Force Reserve from 1958 to 1961. She worked at Jackson’s Hospital in Montgomery AL for 26 years and worked another 19 years at Elmore Community Hospital in Wetumpka, AL; retiring at the age of 75 in 2010.
Lettie was a vital, active member of Cain’s Chapel United Methodist Church, Deatsville AL. She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles B. Beasley, Jr. and her siblings: Evelyn Steineck, Mary Ellen Faulds, Charles A. Steineck, IV, Harry A. Steineck, Jr. Lettie is survived by her children: Jeff Moore (fiancé, Patty Sutherland), Doug Moore (Tammy), Gail Moore Ellis, Dawn Moore Davis (Gary), Robert Moore, John Moore (Tony Connell) and Inez Cooper, as well as 11 Grandchildren: Parker Crosby (Megan), Danielle Moore, Rachael Moore Edmondson (Travis), Dakota Davis, Cameron Moore, Nick Moore, Kaitlin Ellis, Samantha Ellis, Lane Ellis, Nathaniel Moore and Hannah Moore; three Great-grandchildren: Katelyn Crosby, Kandice Crosby and Kyrie Estrella Valencia, two Sisters-in-law: Mary Ellen ‘Terry’ Steineck and Jean Steineck, numerous nieces and nephews and a multitude of friends.
Visitation will be held Thursday, September 5, 2013 from 5-7 p.m. at Leak-Memory Funeral Home, 945 Lincoln Rd., Montgomery AL. Funeral Services will be held at Cain’s Chapel United Methodist Church, 96 Lightwood Rd., Deatsville, AL on Friday, September 6, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. with the Reverend Susan L. Beeson officiating. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the funeral service. A graveside service for all those she touched during her life will follow the funeral service at Oakwood Cemetery Annex in Montgomery, AL.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to one of the following organizations: Cain’s Chapel United Methodist Church, Holtville, AL; Leukemia and Lymphoma Society; or the Christian radio station, WLBF, Montgomery AL.
