Linda Ray Nelson

Linda Ray Nelson, 64, of Montgomery, passed away on Thursday, August 22, 2013 in Miami, Florida. Linda previously worked as a court administrator in Alexander City and for the last 30 years she has been the office administrator for Alabama State Police Association. She also loved to paint and to spend time with her beloved grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Robert Ray and Doris Harris Jones and a sister Judy Gigis. She is survived by her husband Doug Nelson; Daughter Dawn Williams (Tyler); Granddaughters Dawson and Lucy Williams, all of Montgomery; Brother Jerry Ray (Anita) Opelika; nephew Alan Gigis (Michelle) Atlanta; Bryan Ray, Opelika and his children Payton and McCall; niece Lisa Harris (Jay) Alexander City and her children Wilson, Megan and Catherine. Funeral services will be at 3 pm on Sunday, August 25, 2013 at Ridgecrest Baptist Church with visitation beginning at 1:30 pm. Dr. Jay Wolf and Rev. Dale Huff officiating.
