Burt, Lindsey Hershel, 82, of Eclectic passed away Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at his home. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Sunday, October 5, 2014 at Leak Memory Chapel. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Mr. Burt is survived by his wife of 59 years Mary Burt; daughter, Debbie Kemsel (Ted); Son, Robert Burt; brothers, Ralph Burt, Lim Burt, and Fred Burt; 2 sisters, Lena Gallagher and Ira Eagle; and a host of nieces and nephews. Mr. Burt was the owner of Burt's Flea Market in Eclectic and was the honorary mayor of Redhill. He was also a big fan of the Alabama Crimson Tide. Mr. Burt had an unforgettable laugh and loved his beverage of choice. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Southern Care Hospice at 7067 Sydney Curve, Suite B., Montgomery, Alabama 36117.
