

Marcia Truett Jackson Belcher of Montgomery, AL passed away after a courageous fight with cancer on September 30, 2021. She was 72. Marcia was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. James Truett Jackson and Mary Rhein Jackson, daughter Bronwyn Belcher Pritchett, and sister Melinda Jackson Fogle. She is survived by her daughter, Lauren Belcher Goode (Reese); her grandchildren Andrew Taylor Pritchett, Jr., Madeline Brooke Pritchett, and Robert Brent Goode; sisters Madeline Jackson Taylor (Don), Marty Jackson Frame (Dick); Lauren and Bronwyn’s Father, Brent Belcher (Delilah); and many other Jackson nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Marcia was a graduate of Sidney Lanier High School and Judson College, later working in education at Brent Baptist Church and St. James School, where she was loved by her students and colleagues. Marcia will be remembered for her beauty, positive attitude, devotion to family, fondness for cooking, love of Alabama football, and sense of humor.
The family would like to extend gratitude to her dear friends, neighbors and caregivers.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, October 3rd at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel at Aldersgate United Methodist Church.
