Martha Joann Mason Hicks, 86, passed away on May 19, 2013. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother and loved spending time with her family. Survivors include her children, Bill (Sue) Hicks, Lisa Gilbert, Melanie (Jerry) Bingham, brother, Billy (Janice) Mason, grandchildren she loved and adored, Erik (RonDi) Gilbert, and Melissa (Joye) Gilbert-Ross. She had a special place in her heart for her surviving niece, Missy (Terry) Boyd, and her nephews, Marty (Lynn) Mason, Perry Mason and Michael (Chris) Mason. Visitation will be Wednesday May 22nd at 11:00 a.m. at Leak Memory followed by graveside services at 12 Noon at Greenwood Cemetery. Services conducted by Dr. Richard M. Jones and Rev. Chip Broadfoot. Pallbearers will be Erik Gilbert, Melissa Gilbert, Perry Mason, Tommy Hughes, Terry Boyd and Michael Mason. The family would like to thank Mecianne Rouleau, Melissa Rogers, Brenda Wood and Bobby Redmon for the compassionate care they gave Mother. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Montgomery Humane Society in honor of Mother's love for animals.
