He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary McGehee; and brother, Richard Allen Ellis.
Marvin is survived by his three sons, Marvin L Ellis, III (Claudia), Gary L. Ellis (Danette), and Andrew L. Ellis; 7 Grandchildren; and 5 Great-Grandchildren.
The family will receive guests on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Aldersgate United Methodist Church in the Sanctuary. A Celebration of Life will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Dr. Brian Miller officiating.
Pallbearers for Mr. Ellis to include: Rick Wade, Rick Ellis, Marty Ellis, Vashon Bridgewaters, John Andrew Ellis, Mark Ellis, Jeremy Ellis, and Wayne Nero. Honorary Pallbearers: Pathfinders Sunday School Class.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Aldersgate United Methodist Church and St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
