Mary Annette Sturgill Aikman was welcomed to her heavenly home on January 31, 2026, at the age of 89 in Panama City, Florida. Annette’s life was anchored in her faith. She loved Jesus wholeheartedly and lived her life as a reflection of His love. Her favorite bible verse, Romans 8:28, “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose”- captured her unwavering trust in God’s plan and her steady hope through every season.
Annette will be remembered for her servant’s heart, steadfast faith, and the unconditional love she shared so freely.
Annette’s greatest joy was her family; she was known lovingly as “Nana.” She is survived by her daughters, Denise Tucker, Debbie Bradley and Pam Lee; stepchildren, Terry Aikman and Beth Aikman; her grandchildren, BJ Tucker, Jessica White, Nicole Sanders (Josh), Shawn Tucker, Taylor Miller (Alex), Mary Katherine Brennan (Kyle), Dylan Lee, Devan Lee; and her great grandchildren, Hayden Lowe, Garrett Allen, Colten Lowe, Bryce Allen, and Melina Tucker; sister in law, Faye Foxworth; loving nieces and nephews; her very best friend, Nita Snow. She is preceded in death by her parents William and Elizabeth Sturgill; her husband, Jimmy J. Aikman; brother and sisters, Jack Sturgill, Jim Sturgill, and Betty Gilliam; sons-in-law, Bill Tucker and William Bradley.
Visitation for Annette will be Friday, February 6, 2026, from 10:00-11:15 AM with funeral services beginning at 11:15 at White Chapel Greenwood in Montgomery, Alabama. Burial will follow. Pallbearers will be BJ Tucker, Dylan Lee, Devan Lee, Colten Lowe, Garrett Allen and Bryce Allen.
Though Annette’s absence is deeply felt, her legacy lives on through the family she loved so dearly and the many lives she touched.
