Mary Alice Jones

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Newton Jones, son Charles Mercer Jones, parents Mercer Lew and Vida Sophia Tatum, and siblings Helen (Tatum) Whitsett, Ishom "Bubba" Tatum, Fordyce Tatum, Byron Tatum, and Julie Tatum.

Mary Alice is survived by her daughter Julie "Beth" Kyser, grandchildren, Mandy Jones Ellis, Chad Jones (Tiffany), Ashley Kyser Dean (Patrick), and six great-granddaughters Taylor Martin, Lacey Ellis, Molly Jones, Haisley Dean, Hadley Ann Dean, Everly Dean and a host of nieces and nephews.

She proudly worked for BellSouth for 36 years from 1950 until her retirement in 1986. After retirement she enjoyed traveling across the country and abroad and was an active member of the ADY Senior Group.

The family would like to thank her caregivers from Enhabit and Alpha and Omega Health Services for their excellent care, love and support.

A visitation for friends and family will be held Saturday, December 16, 2023 at 12:00 pm at Leak Memory Chapel, 945 Lincoln Rd., Montgomery, AL 36109, followed by a chapel service at 1:00 pm with a burial to follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
