Pettit, Mary P. (Polly), 85, a resident of Montgomery, AL died Thursday, December 19, 2013. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 21, 2013 at 1:00 PM at Leak-Memory Chapel. Internment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Elder William M. Hendrix will be officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00-1:00 PM at the funeral home. Mrs. Pettit was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Pettit, parents, Bishop Marvin Tice & Bernice Bell Bacum Tice, sisters, Merle Hendrix Brown, Irene Lister, Lois Wheeler, Robbie Wilson, & Jane Materna, and brothers, Bill & Jim Tice. Survivors include her brothers, Gerald, Jerry, Tommy & Dale Tice; a host of nieces and nephews, and longtime companion and care giver, Richard Ulvedahl. Pallbearers will be Eddie White, Matt Dunn, Dale Kuhl, Jason Hendrix, Rex Hendrix, and Bill Hendrix, Jr. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Montgomery Humane Society.
