Mary Frances Copeland Smith

Mary Frances Copeland Smith age 93, of Montgomery, passed away on Wednesday, June 17, 2015. She was preceded in death by her loving husband and father to her children, Ernest O. Copeland. Mary is survived by her children, Ernest O. Copeland, Jr. (Jonnie), and Jane C. Motley (Mike); grandchildren, Phillip D. Copeland, Donna L. Sailors, Chrissy Copeland, Lori M. Kelly and Gregory A. Motley; great-grandchildren, Joshua and Jake Copeland, Justin Sailors, Ashlyn Shadwell and Dylan Motley; and brother, John T. Johnston. Pallbearers will be Vann Mote, Frank Moorer, Tommy Mason, Jeff Oswalt, Ronny Boles and Josh Spratlan. Honorary pallbearers will be Wilshire Mote, Dean Spratlan and Hamp Boles.

Funeral services will be at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, June 20, 2015, at Leak Memory Chapel. Dr. Todd Henderson will officiate with burial to follow at Hardaway Cemetery in Macon County, Alabama. The family will receive friends from 2-3:30 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.

Mary was the Postmaster of the Hardaway, Alabama Post Office for many years and was a member of Hardaway Baptist Church.
