Mike was the beloved son of the late Marvin Kindig and Voncile James Kindig. He is survived by his children, William "Bill" Kindig, John Carroll, Kelley Dolihite (Lee Dolihite), and Erin Harlan (Bobby Harlan). He also leaves behind his brother, Bill Kindig, and sister, Cheryl Redd. Mike was a very good friend of Barbara Carroll. In addition, Mr. Kindig leaves behind 8 grandchildren, 3 nieces, 5 nephews, 2 great nieces, 2 great nephews and a great great niece to cherish his memory.
Mike dedicated his career to working as a security guard at Rheem Manufacturing and was also an entrepreneur. His personal interests included camping, old cars, and cruising to a variety of tropical destinations. He was actively involved in his community, particularly at Trinity Memorial Baptist Church.
A Friends and Family Visitation will be held at Trinity Memorial Baptist Church, located at 2700 Old Selma Rd, Montgomery, AL 36108, on January 23, 2026, starting at 12:30 pm. This will be followed by a Celebration of Life Service at the same location, beginning at 1:30 pm.
Mr. Kindig's legacy of faithfulness and hard work will be fondly remembered by all who knew and loved him.
