Michael George Neeck

Michael George “Mike” Neeck passed away on December 27, 2016. Mike was born in Winona, Minnesota on October 30, 1940 to George and Dorothy Neeck. An avid Green Bay Packers fan, Mike enjoyed watching many football games and cheering for his home team. Mike was an active member of the Boy Scout community and spent many years volunteering and cooking at their numerous camp events throughout the year. He was awarded several accolades for his dedication and commitment to the Scout Program. Mike was a part of the Marine Corps National Guard where he served for several years before working as a civilian employee for the U.S. Air Force. Mike was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Farnsworth Neeck. He and his family were stationed in Omaha, Nebraska and Washington D.C. before finally settling in Montgomery, Alabama in 1970. Mike is survived by his three sons David Neeck of Duluth, Georgia, Jeffery Neeck of Chappaqua, New York and Timothy Neeck of Montgomery as well as four grandchildren Michelle (28), Aaron (19), Brandon (17), and Natasha (10), and daughter-in-law Lynn. There will be a visitation held on Friday December 30, 2016 at Leak Memory Chapel 945 Lincoln Road Montgomery, Alabama 36109 from 5pm-7pm and a grave service held at Oakwood Cemetery 829 Columbus St Montgomery, Alabama 36109 on Saturday December 31, 2016 at 10 am. In lieu of flowers, memorials made may be made in Mike’s name to the Boy Scouts of America Tukabatchee Area Council http://www.tukabatcheebsa.org
