Nina Edwards Rosumny

Rosumny, Nina Denmark, a long time resident of Montgomery, AL, passed away April 4, 2023 at the age of 97. She is pre-deceased by her husband, Dr. Benjamin F. Rosumny Jr., granddaughter Melaine Dobbs, sister Margaret Clemons, and parents Elijah E. and Vara Denmark. She is survived by daughters Elaine Patterson (David) and Kay Collins, and son Ben Rosumny III, grandson William Bryan Jesse, granddaughter Holly Rosumny, grandson Justin P., and 2 great grandchildren.

She was born in Manatee County, FL, having graduated from Palmetto High School in 1944. She was a talented seamstress that sewed for her own family as well as the public. She loved to travel and enjoyed many family vacations in the US and Abroad. She had a passion for gardening in her yard and took pride in her flower beds. She also had a love for reading that their children have an appreciation for also. Being a country girl, she enjoyed every aspect of fishing and bowling was a favorite pastime too. She attended McGhee Road Baptist Church.

A friends and family visitation for Nina will be held Saturday, April 8, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Leak Memory Chapel, 945 Lincoln Rd, Montgomery, Alabama 36109, followed by a celebration of life chapel service at 2:00 PM. Mrs. Rosumny's nephew, Rev. Charles D. Clemons will be officiating.
