

Norma Jean Thomas, a beloved wife, mother, and Grandmother passed away on April 1, 2023, at Baptist East Hospital in Montgomery, AL, after an extended illness. Born on February 11, 1945, to the late Helen Cox and Joseph H. McClain, Norma was a loving and dedicated individual who spent her life in service to her family and friends.
Norma's love for her family knew no bounds. She cherished her husband of 54 years, Johnnie Thomas Jr., and their three children, Lori Ann Turner, Marlo L. Thomas, and Johnnie Thomas III. Her devotion to her family was evident in every aspect of her life, and she made sure to always put them first.
In addition to her commitment to her family, Norma had a passion for music. She loved listening to James Brown and was known for her iconic Tina Turner dance moves. Norma's lively spirit and infectious smile always brightened the room, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Norma's memory will forever be cherished by her loving family. Her legacy of selflessness, love, and joy will continue to inspire those who knew her. Although Norma is no longer with us, her spirit lives on, and her memory will be honored forever. Rest in peace, Norma Jean Thomas.
