Philip was a fan of Alabama football and enjoyed hunting and fishing in his free time.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Emmett Royal and Mary Imogene Johnston.
He is survived by his daughters, Kelley Martin, Emily Cotaya, and Jennifer Linton (Jason); his grandchildren, Coltin Royal, Austin Rhodes, Morgan Rhodes, Taylor Cotaya, Ian Linton, and Anniston Linton; and his brothers, Paul Royal (Ginny) and Randy Johnston (Tonya).
A visitation for Phillip will be held Friday, June 21 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Leak Memory Chapel, 945 Lincoln Road, Montgomery, Alabama 36109. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 22 at 11:00 AM at Leak Memory Chapel. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Cemetery, 9504 US-331, Montgomery, AL 36105.
