He started his career in 1957 after graduating from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacology. While raising a family, he completed his Doctor of Medicine in 1967 at Queens University in Kingston, Canada. He became an exceptionally accomplished and dedicated physician in both Kingston, Canada and Montgomery, Alabama with over 50 years practicing medicine and focusing on supporting the community and state of Alabama. His love of luxury cars, precious watches and the world’s finest cigars defined his distinctive character.
Preceded in death by Sally Worth Golomb his school sweetheart and then wife of 57 years. He is survived by his devoted children; Merrill Robin (Wayne) Rosen, Corey Eden Golomb, Bonnie Heather Golomb, Andrea Marla (Danny) Coffey, Sorrelle Anne Golomb, Bailey Michelle (Bruce) Siegal and James Joseph Andrew Golomb (Johna) along with grandchildren Rachel (Jamey) Bellan, Andrew (Shayna) Rosen, Benjamin (Ashley) Rosen, Joel (Kathrine) Coffey, Blaire Coffey, Samuel Coffey, Carli (Erik) Chavez, Natali and great grandchildren Brooke, Blake, Vail, Joshua, Ryan and Alexandra.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to either Temple Beth Or, Agudath Israel Etz Ahayem Synagogue, or the charity of their choice.
