

Rhonda Wise Blitz passed away peacefully Wednesday, March 13, 2024 after a long illness at the age of 67. Her family and loved ones were at her side. Rhonda was born in Elba, Alabama on August 12,1956. She was a wonderful wife to Daniel Mark Blitz, who predeceased her, and great and loving mom to Sam.
Rhonda was also preceded in death by her father, Tommy Wise. She is survived by her mother, Madge Maerene Wise; son, Sam (Jessica), 2 grandsons, Barnes Coleman Blitz and Brooks Warner Blitz; brother Gary Thomas Wise (Michele), niece, Alexandra Smith (Bud-Charles); nephew, Walker Pelham Wise; brothers-in-law, Jeffery Blitz (Robin) and Russell Blitz (Jann); and nieces Callie and Rebecca Blitz.
Rhonda graduated from Jefferson Davis High School (JAG) and later attended Auburn University of Montgomery. At the time she met Dan, she was working in the mortgage business while he was working in real estate with Aronov Realty. They married on October 13, 1978 and resided in Montgomery. They were not only devoted to their son, Sam, but also Dixie Youth Baseball for which Dan coached for 20 years. They made a tremendous impact on many young men through their involvement in youth baseball.
Rhonda was involved with many organizations in Montgomery including Child Protect, Leadership Montgomery Class XII and National Council of Jewish Women. Later she became deeply involved in National Multiple Sclerosis Society. She was a strong advocate for that in which she passionately believed. She had very close friends with whom she shared fun and funny times.
Services for Rhonda will be in the Chapel of Leak Memory Chapel at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 15, 2024. Following will be a gathering at Agudath Israel Etz Ahayem. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
