Sgt. Robert Wayne Hill

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 17, 2015 from 6:00PM – 8:00PM at White Chapel Greenwood Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life service will be on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at 11:00AM at White Chapel Greenwood Funeral Home, with Rev. E. Baxter Morris officiating. Burial will take place in Greenwood Cemetery.

Robert, a hard worker who enjoyed challenges, served in the United States Army as a military policeman. After an honorable discharge, he became a fireman with Montgomery Fire/Rescue where he served for 24 years, earning the rank of Sergeant. He retired on May 14, 2014.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hill. To cherish his memories is a loving, devoted wife of 32 years, Mrs. Sandra M. Hill; four children, Kandria (Antonio) Law, Birmingham, AL; Travis James Hill, Montgomery; Tony A. (Cassandra) Hill, Denver, Colorado; and Carlos Jacques (Kenishia) McKenzie, Dallas, Texas; two grandchildren, Sandria Law and Alexandria Law, Birmingham, AL; a sister, Julie Hill, Greensboro, N.C.; father and mother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Thomas, Montgomery, AL; several sister and brothers-in-law; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; God-son, Terrell Thompson (Bianca); special cousin, Chief Stanley Cooper; and long-time family friends, Mrs. Ollie Gray and Mrs. Kathy Blair.

Pallbearers will be Capt. T.L. Hill, Lt. S.M. Thames, Lt. B.A. Farthing, F/F A.B. Cecil, F/F G.C Lowery, F/F E.S. Williams.
