Roland H. Cherry, 77, of Montgomery, passed away on Thursday, January 23, 2014. He is survived by his children, Randy (Amy) Cherry, Nancy (Tommy) Fields and Kim (Tom) Scharf; his grandchildren, Christine (Eric) Robinson, Rachel Carden, Matt (Britt) Cherry, Hannah Cherry, Kaylee Scharf and Grayson Scharf; and his great-grandchildren Silas and Miri Cherry. Visitation is Sunday, January 26 from 1:00-2:00pm at White Chapel with funeral services at 2:00pm. Roland was no stranger to working with tools and had a life-long talent for building and fixing things. He and his family enjoyed travel, fishing, football, and music and his sense of humor always brought smiles. He showed his dedication to his family by faithfully attending recitals, musicals and sporting events. He will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend.
