Royce Lee Johnson

Sunday morning, October 23, 2016. Royce was born in

Luverne, Alabama on July 25, 1936. He was preceded in

death by his parents Kneat and Gladys M. Johnson and

two sisters, Evelyn Bray and Elzona Peek. He is survived

by his wife, Gladys R. Johnson of 62 years and four

daughters – Debbie (Harold) Sorensen, Cindy (Terry)

Greene, Lawana (Randy) Ledbetter, Melanie (Mike)

Creamer, 10 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, 3

great-great grandchildren, 2 brothers - Frank (Ann)

Johnson, Robert (Janice) Johnson, 2 sisters – Blanche

(Virgil) Culpepper, Loyce (Bill) Adkison, a host of nieces

and nephews and also close family friends, Dink and

Doris Jones and Artis and Dot Thomas. Royce and

Gladys were married at Faith Tabernacle (now Evangel

Church) in 1954 and continued to faithfully serve the

Lord and love their church family. Most people

remember Royce for his faithfulness to God, and his love

for his wife and family. The funeral service will be held at

1 p.m. on Friday, October 28, 2016 at Evangel Church

3975 Vaughn Road in Montgomery with Pastor Mike

Rippy officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the

service. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park

Cemetery, US 331, Montgomery, Alabama.
