Ruby was born on April 6, 1928, in Alabama. She is survived by her daughter, Diane Clark; two granddaughters, Stacy Clark of Virginia and Leslie Clark of Oklahoma; one great grandson, Eli Burke. She is preceded in death by her parents, Christopher Columbus Young and Flossie Mae Young of Alabama; two sisters, Evelyn Burdette of Florida and Willie Mae Stough of Texas; and two Brother-in-Laws, Grover Burdette and Eugene Stough.
Ruby was a member of First Baptist Church of Wetumpka and loved to read. I will miss her presence but comforted in knowing she is with our Lord. I would like to give a special thank you to all the nurses, aides, and staff at Wetumpka Ivy Creek Hospice. Thank you to all of our friends that helped us with no hesitation when we need them. Thank you to four special friends/caregivers, Connie and Tim Rollins, Jennifer Ayers and Carolyn King. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
A memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church, 205 W Bridge Street, Wetumpka, AL 36092 on Thursday, January 9, 2025 at 11:00 am. Officiating will be Dr. Clint Landry.
