WHETSTONE, Ruby Jane, 95, a Wetumpka resident, went home to be with the Lord Monday, March 20, 2017. Friends and family will gather for her Life Celebration Service at 11 AM, Friday, March 24, 2017, at Leak Memory Chapel, with burial to follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Rev. Anthony Counts and Dr. Tim Thompson will officiate. She was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church in Wetumpka, and was a former member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church in Montgomery. She was preceded in death by her husband, John R. “Bob” Whetstone, and her parents Ethel and Sidney Parrish. Survivors include her son, John Robert “Bob” Whetstone (Brenda), of Wetumpka, AL; her grandson, John Whetstone (Lauren); a great-granddaughter, Emma Whetstone, of Austin, Texas; her brother, James Parrish of Wetumpka; and several nieces and nephews.
