Russell Eugene Hull

Russell Eugene Hull, 92, passed away peacefully at home in Fitzpatrick, AL, on April 20, 2025. He was born October 7, 1932, in Randolph, AL, and raised in Plantersville, AL. Russell left high school to serve in the Dixie Division of the army during the Korean War, earning the rank of Sergeant First Class. After his service, he graduated high school and married Virgina Powell. They moved to Montgomery to raise their family while Russell worked as lineman for Alabama Power until he retired.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Lee Hull and Georgia Mae Coleman Hull; sisters, Frances Hull Atchison and Inez Hull Grover; his wife of 67 years, Virginia Hull; infant daughter, Deborah Ann Hull; nephew, Scotty McLaughlin; step-grandson, Ethan Price; and his beloved dog Jackson.

He is survived by daughter, Linda Hull Morrell; son Kenneth Hull (Shannon); grandchildren, Jessica Durbin (Chris), David Hull (Crystal), Jacob Morrell, Christopher Hull (Christina), Sarah Meadows (Mark), Kenneth (Jamie) Hull Jr., Allyson Wilson (JD), John Hull; step-granddaughter, Brittany Mills (Drew); many great grandchildren; aunt, Louise McLaughlin; nieces, Betty Smitherman (Mark), Brenda Epperson (Wayne), and Theresa Sanders; and special friend Roy Hale.

Visitation will be held at Leak Memory Funeral Home on Friday April 25, 2025, at 2:00 pm, followed by a memorial service graveside at 3:00pm with Brother Danny Shadix officiating.
