Sara Jean York (79) died Sunday, October 15, 2017 surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by: her parents, Rob Knight and Rosa Lee Snell Knight; her brothers, Adolph Knight, Rob Roy Knight and John Knight.
She is survived by: her husband, William (Buddy) Alvin York; her brother, George Knight; her sister, Emma Caraway; and her children: Michael York (Marylee), Barry York (Cindy) and Shane York (Tia). Her grandchildren include: Lynsey York, Austin York and Houser York as well as 11 great grandchildren.
Mrs. York was active in the choir of McGhee Road Baptist Church. She loved antiquing, travelling and collecting angels.
A visitation is set for Saturday, October 21 at 1:00 pm with a Celebration of Life Service at 2:00 pm followed by a graveside in Greenwood Serenity Cemetery.
