Griggs, Sarah Pugh, age 89, a resident of Montgomery, Alabama, passed away at home on November 3, 2010 surrounded by her loving family. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 5, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. from the chapel of Leak Memory funeral home with Pastor Stephen Nulph officiating. Visitation will be held at Leak Memory on Friday, November 4, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sarah was preceded in death by her parents, CJ and Rebecca Dees Pugh, her husband of 53 years, Royal O. Griggs, a son, Royal O. Griggs, Jr., a sister, Carrie Kirk and grandson Roy C. Griggs. She is survived by a daughter, Mary Rebecca (Lonnie)Hepburn, a son, Roy (Lisa) Griggs; 13 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren, a sister, Ann Murphy, numerous nieces and nephews. She was a member of Perry Hill Road Baptist Church. Serving as Pallbearers will be grandsons and special friends. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to ones favorite charity.
