Tannie Thompson Lamar, of Hope Hull, Alabama, passed away on November 19, 2018 at the age of 68. Born in Montgomery, Tannie spent most of her childhood in Gadsden, before returning to Montgomery in 1966. She was a graduate of Lanier High School, class of 1968. Tannie was a RN for over 30 years, and was very active in the community and in Hope Hull United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother, John and Helen Thompson; and brother, Mike Thompson.
Tannie is survived by her husband, Ted Lamar; daughters, Rebecca Dotson (Troy) and Emily Robinson (Manson); grandchildren, Zachary and Aubree Dotson, and Katie and Kyle Robinson; and her sister, Joy Whatley (Bill).
A Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 25, 2018 from 12:00pm-2:00pm at Leak Memory Chapel in Montgomery, followed by a Celebration of Life at 2:00pm, led by Matt O’Reilly. She will then be laid to rest in Greenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers to include: Dow Foxx, Denny Holt, Nathan Nunnelley, Trent Newell, Chris Newell, Scott Foxx, Ralph Stanford, Flip Bush, Thomas Ellis, and Glenn Dean.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Hope Hull United Methodist Church, 305 Wasden Rd, Hope Hull, AL 36043.
