William Glen Casey

CASEY, William Glen 63, a resident of LeGrand, died at home on Saturday, December 6th, 2025. He was preceded in death by his parents, Landel Casey and Ethel Dean Smith. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Linda Pugh Casey; his son, William Tanner Casey (Jennifer); his son, Andrew Kyle Casey (Sydney); and his sister, Teresa Casey Pittman (Steve). Known to them as PawPaw or PopPop, he is also survived by his five grandchildren, Kellan, Brooks, Georgia, Redden, & Caroline.

Glen was born in Montgomery, AL on April 8th, 1962. He graduated from Hooper Academy in 1980 and subsequently attended Auburn University. He graduated from Auburn, with honors, in June 1984 with a Bachelor Degree in Business Management and Operations. His professional career included extended periods of employment at Herff Jones and The State of Alabama Department of Corrections, where he diligently worked for 20 years. He retired in December of 2022 while holding the title and position of Associate Commissioner, Research & Planning.

Glen was well respected by his family, his peers, and the community. He attended Liberty Church of Christ. He was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ. He read his Bible diligently and studied God’s word daily. He believed in the power of prayer. He put God first in the order of his life, followed closely by his family and friends. He was a selfless man who put himself last in all things. He was a faithful and loving husband, a dedicated and motivating father, and a proud and supportive grandfather. He valued hard work, honesty, and loyalty. He will be missed by those who remain here on Earth, but we know we will see him again one day.

A Memorial Service will be held at Leak Memory Chapel in Montgomery, AL on Saturday, December 13th, 2025, at 11:00 AM with Reverend Mark Jones of Liberty Church of Christ officiating. A brief graveside service will follow in Greenwood Cemetery for the family only.

A Visitation will be held at Leak Memory Chapel on Friday, December 13th, 2025, from 5:00 – 7:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be given to Liberty Church of Christ, 15096 U.S. 31, Hope Hull, Alabama 36043.

Pallbearers will be Mike McDowell, Perry Taylor, Travis Yarbrough, Bernie Young, Wayne Cheatwood, and Carl Viars. Honorary pallbearers are James Pugh, Kellan Casey, Brooks Casey, and Redden Casey.
