William Henry (“Bill”) Long, 85, of Elmore, Alabama, passed away on April 9, 2015. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, April 12, 2015 at White Chapel Greenwood Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m., with visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. The service will be officiated by Rev. Dr. Tim Thompson. Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery. Bill is survived by his wife, Mary V. Long; and his son, William H. Long, Jr. of Summerdale, Alabama; his son and daughter-in-law, Leslie Nathan Long and Christine Long of Virginia Beach, Virginia; and grandchildren, Chase Green, Tristan Long and Macy Cook. Pallbearers will be Eugene Cau, Jack Fowler, Clark Vines, Dave Abbott, Al Barnes and Bill Holmes. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Wesley Gardens Auxiliary or Sav-A-Life.
