Winnie B. “Pooh” Downs, 82, a resident of Prattville, AL, passed away on Tuesday, May 18, 2010. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 21, 2010 at 3:30 PM at Leak-Memory Chapel with Rev. Mark Stokes officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday, May 20, 2010 from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Leak-Memory Chapel. She was preceded in death by her husband, James T. Downs. She is survived by two daughters, Becky Greene (Danny), Patty DeWilde (Paul); brother, Hugh Bryant (Barbara); three grandchildren, Thomas DeWilde, James DeWilde, Katie Greene; and numerous other nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Thomas and James DeWilde, and Marty Stokes, Tim Butts, Corky Butts and Freddie Catrett. The family would like to give a special thanks to Prattville Health and Rehab for the wonderful care that was given to Mrs. Downs during her time there.
