Andrea was raised in beautiful residential Westmount during the 60’s and 70’s. Those years offered much freedom for Andrea and siblings Susan, Jill and Brian to play out of doors and in the lanes with the many neighbourhood kids. Often, when into our teens Andrea could be seen happily piling into the car with her old friend Sue and her family for a wonderful weekend at their cottage in the Laurentians.
After attending Westmount High Andrea went to Concordia to studied literature. She loved scrabble and reading the romantic classics. Known for her exceptional cooking skills, Andrea’s Italian dishes were legendary. Never pulling out a recipe, she had this knack of knowing the herbs and spices needed to create such delicious dishes for family and friends.
Andrea married Ferdinand (Ferdi) Ferella in Montreal in 1986 and soon after they moved to Washington to settle and have their son Nicolas (Nicky) in 1992.
Andrea is predeceased by her ex-husband Ferdinand Ferella. She is survived by her son Nicolas Ferella and her loving mother Diane Richardson of Montreal. With extraordinary, happy and everlasting fond memories with her siblings Susan, husband Robert Grimes of Montreal, Jill of St. Andrews, NB, and Brian, wife Leigh-Anne King of Aylmer, Quebec, 9 nieces and nephews plus 6 great-nieces and nephews.
